Content Marketing Intern - Paid

Are you a focused and self-motivated communications and marketing enthusiast with a passion for cutting edge digital marketing technology? If this sounds like you – you could be our next Content Marketing Intern.

As a Content Marketing Intern, you will contribute to our lead-generation process in which we attract, nurture and track new prospects and existing clients into our sales and marketing funnel. You will help maintain the foundation that supports our content marketing activities, and gain experience using email marketing tools like Salesforce Pardot and Salesforce Marketing Cloud (aka ExactTarget) that integrate with our customer success platform – Salesforce (SFDC). You will possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills, a thirst for knowledge, with an eagle eye for detail. You should possess the ability to develop, execute, and maintain a content and digital strategy across the marketing mix including email marketing, content syndication, social media, lead nurture campaigns, webinar marketing and events tracking.

This is an exciting internship where you will be part of a young vibrant team delivering the right message at the right time to the right person, and in turn helping us transform the landscape of our rapidly growing business.

INTERNSHIP GOALS

  • Create, edit, and distribute engaging content (blogs, eBooks, Whitepapers, Case Studies)

  • Increase website traffic to Bubblebox websites

  • Increase new email subscribers to Bubblebox lead nurturing/content marketing program

  • Write compelling content for email campaigns

  • Promote Bubblebox products and services through the creation of marketing materials

  • Increase social network awareness and followers

  • Promote Bubblebox as a thought leader and trusted advisor

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

To participate in this Internship Program, individuals must be:

  • Currently attending or recently completed a Communications, Marketing, Media, Journalism, English or related degree program

  • A Canadian citizen, or permanent resident, or a protected person as defined by the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act

  • Legally entitled to work in Canada according to the relevant provincial/territorial legislation and regulations

  • Not in receipt of employment insurance (EI) benefits.

 

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • You are an exceptional English writer, communicator and proof-reader – preference given to candidates with a formal writing, business communication or related academic background;

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate marketing messages and technical concepts through various mediums to various audiences;

  • You are internally motivated and enjoy working independently, as well as collaboratively, in a team environment;

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (especially Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign) a huge asset;

  • Experience with social media platforms including Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and Hootsuite an asset;

  • You must be able to take direct criticism and respond constructively with a commitment to continuous improvement

  • Have a keen interest in cutting edge technology to support inbound marketing strategies that include email, web, mobile and social media.

 

INTERNSHIP TASKS

  • Execute Bubblebox’s content marketing strategy and go-to-market programs;

  • Own the development, maintenance, production and distribution of an expanding array of marketing content (blogs, brochures, white papers, product presentations, case studies, best practices guides, etc.) with the purpose of generating new sales leads;

  • Own our marketing database and marketing automation roadmap, utilizing tools such as Pardot, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Google Analytics, WordPress on our Salesforce platform;

  • Grow and manage our lead database and deepen our relationships with current prospects and customers through a broad range of online and offline campaigns;

  • Outline, research and write impactful and engaging content pieces, working closely with Bubblebox’s thought leaders and industry experts;

  • Identify market opportunities for content syndication and demand generation, working closely with Bubblebox’s stakeholders;

  • Develop and manage a Public Relations program, including the development of press releases;

  • Work closely with Sales and Business Development on lead generation;

  • Create and maintain Bubblebox’s standard internal and market-facing templates for PowerPoint, Word, etc., ensuring all Bubblebox’s employees are using approved versions consistently;

  • Participate in a wide range of other content development projects, including the creation of job postings and other internal documentation projects as necessary.

  • Develop and implement metrics, goals and analysis to ensure activity is positive and measurable.

 

EXPERIENCE BENEFITS

  • Proficiency and hands on experience with email nurture programs and marketing automation technology such as Salesforce Pardot;

  • Experience with Salesforce – the most advanced Customer Success platform in the world.

  • Practical experience with the most advanced email marketing platform in the world – Salesforce Marketing Cloud (aka Exacttarget).

  • Develop data driven and fact-based experience in measuring and reporting on content marketing program performance and ROI;

  • Enhance strategic, analytical thinking that’s required for today’s fast-paced, goal oriented digital marketing environment.

  • Help increase utilization of the design capabilities of the Microsoft Office suite, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel;

  • Develop an understanding of brand standards and processes;

  • Gain a working knowledge of CSS, HTML;

  • Gain a working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite including Dreamweaver, Photoshop & Illustrator;

  • Gain an understanding of SEO, Google Analytics, Google Adwords, Social Media channels and monitoring tools;

  • Develop excellent project management skills, with a demonstrated ability to consistently prioritize and manage multiple tasks from concept through implementation, and deliver quality outcomes on time and on budget.

 

COMPENSATION

Hourly Rate: $18.50 p/h 20-40 hours per week (depending on candidates availability)
20 hours per week - term time
40 hours per week - summer
