Tourism Whistler, representing the resort, aims to strategically grow its brand by promoting the resort as a year-round destination with a lot more to offer, including majestic hiking trails, challenging mountain bike trails, championship golf courses, and world-class shopping.
Before partnering with Bubblebox, Tourism Whistler’s previous system provider did not have the targeting and automation features required to deploy the email programs they were looking for They endeavored to deploy targeted promotional emails based on user interests (such as skiing or biking), a practice that proved laborious and time-consuming using traditional segmentation processes. Their initial email campaigns were not contingent on user actions and therefore lacked the real-time relevance necessary for rich subscriber engagement.
Tourism Whistler was seeking a more streamlined solution to leverage data on their online visitors and prospects with a view to deploying real-time triggered emails based on user actions. In addition, they wanted to send emails with dynamic content relevant to the time of year, location of recipient and activity interest. Upon the recommendation of the Client Services team at Bubblebox, Tourism Whistler selected the Salesforce Marketing Cloud to drive their email marketing program forward.
