Tasked to transform the way World Vision communicates with its subscribers, Bubblebox conducted an on-site “Account Discovery” of the organization’s Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) account, which hosts the best of breed marketing automation tools in one powerful package.
World Vision Canada had been using the SFMC platform for over a year without seeking external guidance on best practice, tips and tricks to optimize their technology investment. As a result, their knowledge of the platforms and its ever expanding functionality was often limited and hindered them from fully fulfilling their unique and aggressive marketing requirements.

World Vision wanted to deploy dynamic, personalized e-Connect newsletters as a means of increasing subscriber engagement with their brand’s charitable initiatives; they wanted the content of each newsletter to change depending on the recipient. For example- sponsors could receive photos and updates on their sponsor children while advocates could receive updates on the latest World Vision news, events and causes.
Leading the Account Discovery was Tracey Gordon, Founder & VP Client Services at Bubblebox. Tracey conducted a high-level overview of World Vision’s SFMC Enterprise account configuration as well as an assessment of their strategic marketing objectives and future platform requirements.
She discovered that World Vision’s current data architecture and business unit configuration did not allow for a fully optimized data synchronization between their in-house data warehouse and the Marketing Cloud platform. She delivered a high-level overview of solutions that would enable them to clean up their disparate data sources, ingest transactional sponsor data for segmentation and future customer journeys and maximize their overall investment in marketing cloud technology. Among her recommendations, Tracey proposed that World Vision obtain: Bubblebox Train- Essentials package along with Custom training including automations and interactions applicable to World Vision, delivery of a fully optimized and dynamic e-Connect newsletter and new data architecture utilizing SFMC data extensions and SQL query functionality.
The Account Discovery is just the beginning of World Vision’s potential with the Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
